I was born and raised in a small town in Ontario with two brothers and one sister. As a kid, I was always taking things apart to see how they worked. We were forever building something around the home, tree forts, go-carts and who remembers what. When I was a teenager, all this experience was put to good use as I led a family project to build a cottage on an island in Muskoka. Throughout high school and university, I was always curious and intrigued by how things worked in nature. This curiosity persists to this day.
After university, I headed out west I spent six years in Alberta living in Banff, working in the Oil patch and working overseas in the United Arab Emirates and South Korea. The lure of the mountains and sea finally brought me to Vancouver.
I am married to a great wife Andrea, and we have a terrific teenage son Ethen who has an energetic Wheaton terrier named Bolt. We all love the outdoors and enjoy it sailing, skiing, biking, walking hiking whenever we can.
I love this city with its natural beauty, inclusive cultural mosaic, innovative thinking. Our home is an area where the sense of community helps us feel connected to our neighbours. I find it exciting and a privilege to be part of this thriving experiment and experience that is Vancouver. It is essential that we all work together contributing to support and grow this magical city of ours.
